Could have been perfect except.....
The apartment was close to perfect (view, spacious, clean) except for one glaring omission.....NO ELEVATOR. I live in AZ and climb mountains and this was even too much for me. Not only are there six flights, they are steep and narrow. What is not mentioned is that when you reach the sixth floor you enter the unit to ANOTHER set of stairs (17 steps) to get to main floor. This place is not safe for toddlers or elderly...39 steps! The ad should be revised immediately indicating no elevator and guests should receive some sort of compensation for false advertising.

Great Fenway Location
Great spot for easy/quick access to Fenway and Back Bay. Walkable to both in minutes. Area felt very safe.
The unit shows a little wear and tear but overall nice. I had a maintenance issue upon arrival and had it taken care of by a very kind, friendly maintenance person.
The listing does state there is an elevator on the property. In a previous review, the guests stated that it wasn't functioning upon their arrival. I reached out to the owners prior to my stay to confirm the elevator was working as the unit in on the fifth floor and was told that everything was addressed and in working order. Upon arrival, this was not the case, and the elevator was still not functioning. Tight, steep stairs do offer an inconvenience, something to consider if anyone in your party may have trouble with something like that. My advice is to assume that the elevator isn't working.

Wonderful property in a great location. View alone was worth it. Very clean and very spacious. The only challenge was the lack of a working elevator. The 5 flights wasn’t pleasant so it may be difficult for some. It would be also nice to appoint the location with basics like paper towels and coffee etc. again overall really enjoyed it

Not What Was Promised
My wife and I were thrilled to pay a little bit extra for this Luxurious Fenway 2BR Penthouse w/ Roof Deck. We were hosting both mine and my wife's parents in Boston and wanted to give them a grand experience. This location was perfect, near the Charles and with an amazing view and gathering location. A key factor, called out early in the listing, was that it had an elevator. My mother-in-law is recovering from knee surgery, and while she gets around fine with a cane, stairs are harder for her and we couldn't see her going up and down 5 flights of stairs easily. We checked on this before booking, ensuring the elevator was available and would meet our families needs. About an hour before check in we received entry instructions that only included stairs as an option. When I responded that we needed an elevator we were told that it wasn't available and instead moved to a new space in a new location. The new space was significantly smaller, much louder, had no common area, no rooftop deck, and was sparsely furnished. We were unable to spend any time together as a family in common areas due to space constraints and the noise from other units. (Soundproofing was apparently an afterthought) Honestly, I understand things break, but I was surprised both at the disregard for our needs and the lack of any discount considering we paid for a premium space and were forced into something much less usable.
