Lovely Fenway 1br | New to Airbnb!

Please read before booking accommodation not as described or shown in pictures Negative: The property was dirty upon arrival, the ventilation was loud and unclean, the lights did not work, the toilet blocked as soon as it flushed. The windows were rotten and not sealed so black tape was put down the side which did nothing to keep the cold draught out. There looked like mould on the ceiling in the bedroom and in the bathroom. We contacted the property who offered to call maintenence and get the cleaners back but this would not resolve the most concerning complaints about the property. Alternative accommodation was available but having seen the way this property was not maintained we were not willing to transfer to another property managed by the same company and face the same issue. The final straw came when I plugged my phone into the socket and it sparked. We left with immediate effect at considerable cost that the vendor has yet to respond to the booking agent with their comments or offer any refund based on the evidence provided.

Positive: The host’s explanation about how to access the property was very accurate. The property itself was also in a great location and easy to find. The interior layout matched the photos exactly. Negative: The cleanliness of the room was unsatisfactory. There were hairs in the bathroom bathtub, and the bed in the main bedroom had a lot of dust and hair, so I couldn’t use the blanket during my three-night stay. Every night, the smell of marijuana kept coming into the house, which made it very difficult to sleep. A stronger ventilation system is needed.

Space, light, historic details, and good value. Positive: Lots of space and light. A good place to spend time. Overall, pretty good decor choices. Negative: Nothing not to like.
