Sleek FIDI Studio | Close to Public Transit!

Great location and within walking distance to many cool places. The drawbacks to the actual rental was there was no drawers/dresser to put items away such as socks, etc,, so you got to keep most of your stuff in your suitcase. The light above the bathroom mirror didn't work and the bifold doors to the washer didn't close. Also, the plugs/fixtures seemed off-balanced & crooked.I was expecting at least complimentary coffee or tea with sweetners, etc., but there was nothing, not even a bottled water. Every place I've rented whether it was a vrbo or hotel, has provided complimentary coffee or tea.But my main complaint was at the time we booked it, we were given the option for a late checkout with an extra fee, which we accepted as we booked a car rental at 2 pm & normal checkout was 10 am. The day we arrived, we were told that the late checkout was not a problem. An hour later, we were informed they couldn't accommodate the request. So we had to checkout by 10 but they did provide an option to download an app that provided baggage storage for a fee at a different location, but that was only after I complained since our car rental time couldn't be moved up.

The location is the best part of this unit. It is close to Quincy Market and downtown, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The unit is a studio, so it is small, but that is to be expected.We did have several maintenance issues during our stay. We had problems with the remotes, and the batteries had to be replaced. The toilet was loose, and at times we could smell gas, which was concerning. Unlike most VRBOs we have stayed in, there was no welcome book or information available about the unit, including instructions for the TV and AC.Check-in is at 5 p.m., which felt quite late compared to most rentals, while the 10 a.m. checkout is earlier than many. Overall, the location is excellent, but the unit would benefit from better maintenance and clearer information for guests.

Lovely place, ideally located for everything!

The host was very communicative, available, and kind. The place matched the pictures and description exactly. It was clean, bright, sunny, and in an ideal location, allowing me to walk everywhere without needing public transportation. I appreciated the smooth check-in process and the ability to do laundry. I also liked that there wasn't a dirty shower curtain or door—just a solid glass panel. The neighborhood seemed safe, but, as with anywhere in Boston, I recommend staying alert. I will book again whenever I visit Boston.
