Great location, terrible bathroom
The location was great for a week long trip of exploring! We were able to walk to get groceries, walk to the market for meals, and get back from the hop on hop off trolley routes and many major sites of the city. The bathroom however was a major disappointment. The bath/shower and sink take forever to drain making the showers difficult to stand and not very functional. In terms of supplies, there was only one partially used roll of toilet paper and two washcloths for two of us staying for an entire week. I would have packed some had I expected it, but then again this seems like a pretty basic thing that should be supplied. Also the dishwasher would not start so we had to hand wash our dishes upon checkout. Those are the major things to note just so you know what to expect going into it. We also requested white noise machines and an air mattress to which we were told they couldn’t supply air mattresses anymore, so we brought an extra suitcase with one on our flight. Coke to find no white noise machines but there was an air mattress?! Overall I’d still consider staying there again because of the location…they just need to figure those drains out and supply it a little better. We are in our 20s and struggled in that bathroom, so I couldn’t imagine trying to give a kid a bath with how quickly it got dirty while slowly draining or being older or less stable and trying to stand in a slippery shower with water over your ankles.

The place was in a great location. Walkable to most places. Close to train/bus stations. The place could use some upgrades. The floor was bubbling, the tile and grout in bathroom could use some work. The water was so loud, I get that it’s an old building but it’s so loud. Also the water was way too hot. I would be concerned if a child were to bathe and mess with water temperature. Overall it was good place to stay I would probably stay there again.

Excessive Noise and Gnats
First night I slept on the couch because I could not figure out how to turn off a flickering light in the bedroom. I contacted the property owner to let them know this was happening, I also informed them there is a garbage can directly next to the front door that smelled, each time we came in and out of the apartment we were having to swat away gnats. They were unable to send someone out until the next day to fix the light, which they did, but the garbage can was never moved.
The second night was fine there, the noise of the neighborhood was tolerable. I'm assuming is worse during the summer months but you can hear EVERYTHING in that apartment partially because of just the thickness of the windows partially because with the window AC units its basically a thin piece of whatever vinyl that doesn't reduce any noise.
The final night there was absolutely awful. This was a Friday night and this location is right next to a parking lot, some people had decided to crank up music around 2AM which we could not only hear but we could also FEEL in the apartment. This listing says that you can request ear plugs and/or a white noise machine, the owners know this is a potential problem, these items should be available in the apartment not via request. Contacting at 8pm didn't get a light fixed, they were not going to have someone swing by at 230am with noise deterrent and honestly, NOTHING would have helped this noise. We finally had to call 911 for some assistance.
